Students at Reading’s Glenside Elementary School got a treat for their mind and one for their bellies Friday.
State Sen. Judy Schwank, Dairy Queen and the United Way of Berks County joined forces to give away free ice cream and books to students at the school. The effort is part of the school’s “Ready. Set. Read.” program.
