Dear Business Leader:

Small business is the cornerstone of our local, state, and national economies.  The lion share of jobs created in our Commonwealth occurs in firms with less than fifty employees.  That is why I believe it is critical that business owners and entrepreneurs are aware of the resources that are available from government agencies to help them.

Since being elected to the State Senate and during my service as a Berks County Commissioner, I have made helping businesses grow one of my top priorities.  Just about every day I speak with a business owner or an entrepreneur looking to grow their existing business or launch a new venture.  My staff and I work hard to ensure that business men and women are aware of the tools and resources, both financial and technical that are available to help them succeed.  To enhance those efforts, I have developed this business information toolbox, which categorizes and compiles in a convenient format many of the resources available to assist businesses.

The modern business world is complex, competitive, and robust. I have encompassed in this toolbox a compendium of information that both prospective and long standing business owners can utilize to help with virtually any aspect of their business. Whether you need help with employee training or capital to run and sustain your business, this tool kit offers a plethora of information you can use.

Please feel free to explore the toolkit and research the various organizations that can help you. If you have any questions or if there is anything I can do to be of assistance to you in your efforts, please feel free to contact me at 610-929-2151.  Thank you for your interest and all you are doing to keep our economy strong.

Sincerely,

Judith L. Schwank
